Visit the Museo de la Revolucion in Havana and learn more about the Cuban revolution and its leader, Che Guevara.
4. Experience Hemingway's Havana
Discover the places in Cuba that inspired Ernest Hemingway. Visit his home, Finca Vigía, where he wrote ‘For Whom the Bell Tolls’. Head out to the fishing village of Cojimar, which was the backdrop for ‘The Old Man and the Sea.’
5. Relax on the beaches of Varadero
Varadero or Playa Azul, meaning ‘blue beach’ is one of the largest resort areas in the Caribbean. Situated on the Hicacos Peninsula, sun worshippers can bask on the 20km long white sandy beaches and nature lovers can enjoy exploring nearby natural attractions such as caves and cayes.
6. Visit the Bay of Pigs
The legendary Bay of Pigs was the scene of the failed US Invasion in 1961 which was a pivotal moment in modern history.
7. Board the Hershey’s Electric Train
Enjoy a scenic rail journey through beautiful Cuban landscape and discover the village of Hershey, named after the American chocolate king, where you will learn about the sugar cane industry.
8. Drink a Mojito
Who’s thirsty?! This refreshing cocktail was invented in Cuba, it’s a combination of white rum, sugar, lime juice, soda water and mint. Delicious!
