You will have today to explore the city at your leisure. Your local guide will be happy to give advice on activities to suit your interests.
For incredible views of the city you can climb to the top of Clerigos Church or for a more leisurely aspect of the city take a lazy boat ride down the Douro River under Porto’s six bridges, on board a Rabelo Barco – a boat originally used to transport Port wine. Culture vultures can enjoy Porto’s many museums, galleries and the wonderful architecture throughout the city. A visit to Livraria Lello book shop is well worth the venture (especially for Harry Potter fans) with the ornate wooden staircase and a wide range of books for sale.
Of course you can't go to Portugal without trying the famous Pastel de Nata pasteries fresh from the bakeries.
