Take in four fantastic US cities in one great holiday. An Eastern USA rail holiday gives you a new, unique view of the landscape as you journey from one destination to the next. You will travel via the quick and efficient AMTRAK intercity network, allowing you plenty of time to enjoy each city with guided tours and free time to explore at your leisure.

Begin your incredible journey in Boston, one of the oldest cities in the US. The city is overflowing with intriguing history and was the scene of many key events during the American Revolution. Famous for its educational institutions and historic landmarks, Boston also offers countless entertainment and dining options, as well as incredible shopping! Your next stop is the Big Apple. One of the largest natural harbours in the world and home to over 8 million people, New York is composed of 5 boroughs; Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx. A global hub for international commerce, media and entertainment, and welcoming over 54 million visitors a year, it is understandable why New York is known as the ‘city that never sleeps’ – it simply doesn’t have the time to!

Next up is Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s largest city. Philadelphia was at the centre of US history and was declared a World Heritage City by Unesco in 2015. History enthusiasts will be in their element as they take a historic tour of this beautiful city, taking in key highlights such as the the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. The final stop on this whirlwind tour is the capital of the USA, Washington DC. A dream for culture lovers, DC is packed with museums, galleries, monuments and memorials. The city also offers visitors incredible restaurants and a buzzing nightlife.
