Explore the enchanting east coast of North America, from New York to Nova Scotia, on this unforgettable cruise holiday. Relax on board the Norwegian Dawn as you enjoy the quaint scenery along New England and Canada’s captivating coastline. Sailing in mid-May is perfect, as the summer will be very close to beginning and you can discover New England and Canada in a warmer climate. Ports of call include Portland (Maine), Bar Harbor (Maine), Saint John (Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick), Newport (Rhode Island) and Halifax (Nova Scotia).

Staying in the heart of Manhattan for two nights before your cruise, you will be ideally placed to explore all that the Big Apple has to offer, from soaring skyscrapers to the charms of Central Park. A guided city tour will take you to some of the city’s most famous sites, including Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Centre, Wall Street, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and the famous 5th Avenue.

The Norwegian Dawn will be your home for 7 nights, with on-board features including a pool, casino and spa*, as well as a selection of fantastic dining options.

Depart Dublin Airport for your flight to New York. Upon arrival in New York you will be met by your friendly local guide who will assist you in the transfer to your hotel in Manhattan. Settle in and enjoy a welcome dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 2 - New York

Depart your hotel in the morning for a guided city tour of Manhattan. Discover Times Square and its many illuminated billboards, go down the famous 5th Avenue and enjoy views of St Patrick’s Cathedral, Rockfeller Centre and the Flatiron Building. You will also have the opportunity to see Grand Central Station, Wall Street, Greenwich village and Soho before finishing your tour in Chinatown.

Afternoon

Discover New York

The afternoon is free for sightseeing. Indulge in an afternoon and evening to discover New York City further at your leisure. Perhaps you would like to independently visit the iconic Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty or see a show at one of the many Broadway theatres? The possibilities are endless! Our local guide will be happy to makes suggestions for optional activities to suit your taste.

Day 3 - Norwegian Dawn

Enjoy a guided coach transfer from the hotel to Manhattan port. Embark the Norwegian Dawn for your 7 night cruise on an all-inclusive basis. Admire the rugged coastline that surrounds Halifax, the world's second-largest natural harbour. Today, Halifax is a busy Atlantic seaport and the economic and cultural hub of Eastern Canada. Stroll the historic waterfront, check out a museum or two, catch some live music and enjoy the best of what Eastern Canada has to offer.

Day 6 - Saint John (Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick)

Early morning arrival in Saint John. Saint John, Canada’s oldest incorporated city, is also the only city on the beautiful Bay of Fundy. Its history is evident in its weather-worn look, passing the tests of salt air, sea winds and a devastating fire in 1877 that have all contributed to making Saint John the greatest little city in the east. There is so much to learn at the New Brunswick Museum. Be sure to look for your ship in the port against the beauty of the Bay of Fundy from Fort Howe lookout. And don’t miss the Saint John City Market, the oldest continuing farmer’s market in North America.

Day 7 - Bar Harbor (Maine)

This morning we will arrive in Bar Harbor. This coastal attraction has retained much of its charm since its glory days of the 1900's, when America's elite vacationed here in opulent summer cottages. Surrounding the rock-bound harbour is the world-famous Acadia National Park where the opulence of nature is on display.

Day 8 - Portland (Maine)

This morning we will arrive in Portland. The city is known as a cultural, dining and shopping destination, but you will also find walking trails as well as a beach where you can be enjoy the view from one of the historic lighthouses.

Day 9 - Newport (Rhode Island)

Newport (Rhode Island)

Arrive today in Newport Rhode Island which in the 19th century served as the playground for New York’s rich and famous. See the legacy of this era on ‘Millionaire's Row,’ and visit the Breakers Mansion, a famous Renaissance house that once belonged to the renowned Vanderbilt family. Also tour the historic centre and visit sites such as the Newport tower, believed to be built by the Vikings, and St. Mary’s Church, where JFK and Jacqueline Bouvier were married.

Day 10 - New York & Return Home

This morning arrive into New York. Following disembarkation, *you will be transferred to the city centre for free time for sightseeing and shopping. *Free time for shopping and sightseeing is subject to change depending on flight times.

Return Home

Time to say good bye to New York and to an unforgettable cruise experience. You will be transferred with guide assistance to the airport for your return flight to Dublin.
