Known as the ‘Pink City’ due to its painted stone buildings, Jaipur is the lively and bustling capital of Rajasthan. The city was originally founded by a royal family who ruled the region, and evidence of their wealth and influence can be found today in the opulent buildings and palaces they created. On our holidays to India including Jaipur, we’ll see the Jantar Mantar observatory, the incredible ‘Palace of Winds’ and the magnificent Amber Fort that overlooks the city and Lake Maota.

The Taj Mahal is one of the world’s most beautiful monuments and one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. Built by Shah Jahan as a memorial to his favourite wife, this incredible white-marble mausoleum is a must-see destination when visiting India. On our holidays to India including the Taj Mahal, we’ll visit this landmark with an expert, local guide to hear the history and beautiful love story behind the Taj Mahal. The brilliance and symmetry of this elegant structure, embedded with semi-precious stones and reflected in cool, clear pools, is guaranteed to take your breath away.

Both Delhi and New Delhi have been the focal point of so many invasions and absorbed so many cultures that they perfectly capture the essence of India. On our holidays to India including Delhi and New Delhi, we’ll experience this incredible culture for ourselves. When exploring New Delhi, we’ll see the Lutyens designed parliament building, drive past the India Gate, and visit Qutub Minar, the world’s tallest brick minaret. In Old Delhi, we’ll take a rickshaw ride through the city to visit the memorial site of Mahatma Gandhi, the Jama Masjid mosque, and the colourful market of Chandni Chowk.

Goa is a state in western India with coastlines stretching along the Arabian Sea. Its long history as a Portuguese colony prior to 1961 is evident in its preserved 17th-century churches and the area’s tropical spice plantations. Goa is also known for its seafood, laid-back tropical atmosphere and beautiful beaches, ranging from popular stretches at Baga and Palolem to those in laid-back fishing villages like Agonda. On our trips to Goa, we’ll visit spice farms and tea plantations, explore the beautiful architecture and heritage of Old Goa and enjoy plenty of free time to soak up the sun.
