Victoria
This picturesque city sits on the southern end of Vancouver Island and offers visitors an escape from the hurried world and it beams with ambiance. Its beginnings as a British colony show in its Victorian architecture, such as stately Craigdarroch Castle mansion, as well as in its many formal gardens.
Inside Passage

Shaped by the immense force of massive glaciers millions of years ago, Alaska’s Inside Passage boasts wildlife-filled fjords and lush island scenery — habitat for bald eagles, sea lions, porpoises and whales. Its mountains are carpeted with majestic forests.

Full Day

Commence your cruise

Today is the day to begin your cruise! Transfer to Vancouver Port and board the Norwegian Jewel for your 7-night cruise. Settle in and get to know the ship as you set sail along this stunning coastline. Optional excursions* at ports of call are available to book in advance or on board the ship.   *Please note there is an extra charge for optional excursions.

Day 6 - Inside Passage

Full day

Inside Passage

Past waterfalls, thick forests and glacier tongues, you will experience the beauty of nature. The Inside Passage has a coast line of approximately 24,000 kilometres. You will find a lot of islands along the sea way.

Day 7 - Juneau, Alaska

Full Day

Juneau, Alaska

Accessible only by water and air, it´s not surprising that wildlife thrives in Juneau´s stunning frontier landscape. In fact, it´s the only state capitol whose governor´s mansion sits less than one mile from prime grizzly bear habitat.

Day 8 - Skagway, Alaska

Full day

Skagway, Alaska

It all started in 1896, when gold was discovered in a tributary of the Klondike River and tiny Skagway quickly grew to 20,000 residents. By 1900, the White Pass and Yukon Route railway began carrying the more fortunate gold seekers over the mountain pass. The real gold, some say, never left Skagway. It´s still here in the matchless golden sunrises and sunsets.

Day 9 - Glacier Bay

Full day

Glacier Bay

Wherever you stand on board as you cruise through Glacier Bay, you’re guaranteed a front row view. Several tidewater glaciers flow into the bay that ranks among the highlights of a journey to Alaska. You can hear the sound of the breaking ice before it topples thunderously into the sea. Whilst you’re still marvelling at that, bald eagles sore past, humpback whales emerge above the water, mountain goats scale the steep slopes and brown bears go about their business on the shore.

Day 10 - Ketchikan, Alaska

Full Day

Ketchikan, Alaska

Ketchikan´s 19th-century commercial fishing, canning and logging industries drew hearty workers who added a raucous side to the city´s history. The infamous restored ‘red light´ district with its bordello-turned-museum is a present-day testament to that era.

Day 11 - Inside Passage

Full day

Inside Passage

Today is a free day at sea to relax in the spa, catch a show at the theatre, take a dip in the pool or visit one of the ship’s bars to indulge in a cocktail – the choice is yours. All the while, you can take in the breath-taking scenery of the Inside Passage.

Day 12 - Vancouver

Full day

Vancouver

Disembark the ship after a memorable cruise. Your guide will meet you at the port and there will be some free time to explore one of the world´s most liveable cities, before transferring on to the airport for your flight home.

* Please note that the order of your excursions on the itinerary above is provisional and subject to change
