With its clear aquamarine waters, beaches of pristine white sand and glamorous Costa Smeralda resorts, Sardinia is truly a sun-worshipper’s paradise.  But its coastline is not the only attraction of this beautiful Mediterranean island.

On this terrific 7-night holiday you’ll discover the charming walled town of Alghero as well as the lovely Bosa - a characterful medieval town with cobbled streets and paint-box houses. Other trips will take you to Costa Smeralda and to the picturesque La Pelosa Beach.

In the uncluttered and unspoilt countryside, there are green forests, soaring mountains and citrus orchards, while the ancient stone ‘Nuraghe’ which dot the landscape offer a fascinating glimpse into the island’s pre-history. As always, there will be plenty of free time to explore the beautiful Sardinia at your own pace, so book today and discover what all the fuss is about.

Holiday highlights

Reggia Nuragica di Santu Antine

One of the most fascinating bronze-age constructions of Nuragic Sardinia, the nuraghe consists of one central tower and three additional towers, long corridors and a central courtyard with a water well. At the site lies the remains of a nuragic village, occupied well into Roman times.

Nuraghe

There are countless Bronze Age remains throughout the island of Sardinia, the best known being the Nuraghe – mysterious circular (sometimes conical) stone dwellings, left by an unknown people.

Costa Smeralda

In the north of the island, Costa Smeralda is 55 km long and features 80 bays with pinkish-white sand beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters.

Bosa

This charming townlies on the river Temo, the only navigable river for about 6 kilometres of Sardinia. Here you can see the famous castle of the Malaspina.

Catalan Alghero

Alghero’s medieval heart, with its cobbled laneways, busy piazzas and honey-tinted walls recalls a period in history when the Crown of Aragón attempted to replace the local population with Catalans from the north of Spain. The language is still spoken locally and signage can be seen in both Catalan and Italian.
