Travel Department is partnering with the Alzheimer Society of Ireland to raise awareness and much needed funding for a worthy cause.
The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is the leading dementia specific service provider in Ireland. The charity works across the country in the heart of local communities providing dementia specific services and supports, advocating for the rights and needs of all people living with dementia and their carers.
Our partnership with the Alzheimer Society of Ireland involves a range of events and initiatives. We are assisting with sponsorship, various types of fundraising and volunteering. Some of the key highlights of our partnership are outlined below.
Travel Department Staff Bake-Off
Our staff took part in a Bake-Off event, featuring scrumptious treats from White Chocolate Oreo Biscuit Cake to Boston Cream Cupcakes. All money raised on the day went directly to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland, so it was a great excuse for our staff to eat some sweet treats and help out a great cause at the same time. This is now an annual event in our calendars!
Flag Day Collection:
Travel Department volunteer at some of The ASI's ‘Flag Day’ collections, selling memory ribbons to raise awareness and much needed funding for the society.
Christmas Fundraising Initiatives:
A fun and easy fundraising initiative, our staff organised a Christmas Jumper Day to raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer Society of Ireland among our staff. All money raised on the day went directly to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland and there was even a prize for the worst Christmas jumper which added to the fun.
