Holiday highlights

Sossusvlei

Located in the heart of Namib Naukluft Park, Sossusvlei aka the ‘Dune Sea’ is a salt and clay pan surrounded by red dunes. See the Dead Vlei Salt pan and you can climb the Dune ‘Big Daddy’ at 325m and be rewarded with fantastic panoramic views of the Dead Vlei with its 900-year-old Camelthorn trees. There will be an excellent photo opportunity and a visit to the world's highest sand dune ‘Dune 7’,  the name is due to it being the seventh dune you encounter after crossing the river Tsauchab.

Safari

On one of your Namibia safari trips, you will embark on a search for the Desert Elephant, which is only found in Namibia and Mali. They are truly magnificent and majestic creatures who have adapted to survive in the harsh desert conditions and have been designated as a top priority for protection by the IUCN.

Etosha National Park

The third biggest game park in Africa has over 340 bird species, free roaming wildlife, such as Lions, Leopards and the endangered Black Rhino. There is also an enormous salt pan in Etosha National Park, which is so big it can be seen from space!

Swakopmund

Located on the western coast of Namibia, Swakopmund is a beach resort overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Swakopmund is an interesting example of German colonialism, you can see its influence in the city’s historical buildings, and even today a minority of the population still speaks German. Enjoy a guided Township tour in Swakopmund, a former black only community during the South African administration. The township is a melting pot of Namibian culture and authentic Namibian communities.

Damaraland

One of Namibia's most scenic attractions, in Damaraland you’ll see the country’s highest mountain ‘Brandberg’ or ‘Burnt Mountain’,  famous for its rock painting of the White Lady. Twyfelfontein is a site of ancient bushman rock paintings.
